DANIEL DYE - DRIVER
Daniel Dye, 19, of Deland, Florida, drives the GMS Racing No. 43 in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Dye’s racecars are easily recognizable thanks to the iconic look of the 43, made famous by seven-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion and Hall of Fame inductee Richard Petty. From quarter-midgets at nearby New Smyrna Speedway to competing for wins in crown jewel Late Model events across the country, all in the 43. The recent Father Lopez High School graduate has found great success behind the wheel of his Race to Stop Suicide cars. This family-formed foundation works to start the conversation about suicide prevention, provide support, normalize the conversation surrounding suicide, and direct help to those in need.
In 2022, Dye competed full-time in the ARCA Menards Series, finishing the season runner-up in the final championship standings driving for GMS Racing. 13 top fives and 17 top 10s highlighted his highly competitive season. In 2021, Dye made six ARCA Menard Series starts for GMS Racing posting four top 10s, including a dominating performance at Berlin Raceway that saw him lead 198 of the 200 laps before picking up the win.
For 2023, Dye will chase the Sunoco Rookie of the Year honors with the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. His stellar performance in the ARCA Menards Series allowed him to race on one of the sport’s biggest stages throughout the season. When he’s not battling on the NASCAR Stage across the country, Dye still competes in his daily life. While waiting for his next NASCAR start, Dye can be found bowling, grabbing more race wins in RC cars, or training for future races in the iRacing Simulator.
